English title: English for Intermediate Self-Learners
By James Branam and Iva Dostálová
This is the second and final volume in the English for Self-Learners series. The first volume has been my most successful book to date, and we hope that this one will be just as popular.
Like the fist book in the series, this book is a classic English textbook. Each lesson consists of reading texts, vocabulary, grammar explanations, dialogs, and exercises. The texts all form a story about Jayashri, the book’s protagonist. Jayashri is a woman of Indian heritage living in the United Kingdom. This volume addresses more complex topics than the first, topics including racism, discrimination, and computer literacy. An audio CDs is also included.
